Until Next Year

Amazing. Coachella described in one word would be: amazing. I know I speak for all of us when I say that we had the best time on our Cali 2007 trip. Despite the hot sun, hour after hour in the car and the cramped sleeping arrangements, we didn't even THINK about killing each other :) In fact, we can't wait to go back and do it all over again next year. Hopefully we'll get some more pictures up here...otherwise you can see quite a few on facebook or by email.

Every day was wonderful. Until Coachella 2008...

To Live and Die in L.A.

We haven't been quite as good about updating this as we could have been, but I don't think we've done too poorly. Yesterday we drove up to Burbank and watched a taping of jay leno and then spent the night down in Huntington Beach with my cousin Brian and his girlfriend Rebecca. Today we chilled on the beach there and watched an volleyball tourney before heading to L.A. for a drive through the city. We cruised down Sunset Blvd and around the Hollywood hills before dinner and the drive back to San Diego. Tomorrow I think we'll hit up the zoo and and some Cinco de Mayo par-tays. Peace yo.

Back in Black

Back in San Diego last night after coming very, very near to running out of gas in the middle of desert. However we did not AND I got to go to Dairy Queen :) When we got back to SD we enjoyed a yummy Mexican dinner in Old Town, which I think we will definitely head back to for Cinco de Mayo. Today we just took an easy day and kicked around the mall, but tomorrow should bring a little more excitement. We are heading to Burbank to see a taping of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and then dinner in L.A. probably. Plans will get finalized soon. Until next time...

Me Oh My Oh

As we approach day three (today) I don't think any of us could be happier. Coachella has more than exceeded expectations. There really are no words to describe what the experience has been like so far. Yesterday we rocked to the sounds of Travis, The Decemberists, Arcade Fire, The Red Hot Chili Peppers and Tiesto. Lights flashing, dancing, sweating, screaming three rows back from Tiesto with 10,000+ people around you is not something you forget. Today we close out the festival with Rage Against the Machine and tomorrow we head back to San Diego for as many more shenanigans as we can handle.
We'll catch you on the flip side...

Coachella here we come!!!!!!!!!!

Its been a long time comig but we are finally arrived!

We got into Palm Springs this afternoon after a fantastic drive through the desert. Winding down mountain roads, the warm breeze blowing through the windows. Needless to say, life is pretty good for us right now. As I write this were enjoying a beer on the patio in sunshine with palm trees and rolling hills all around us. In about twenty minutes we’re heading to Coachella to kick off our night under the desert sky!! BA BAM

until next time

Lack of Set Times = Mad Bunk

Alright, so I'm starting to get really hyped for this trip. Everything is in place and we're scheduled to take off Thursday afternoon. My bags are pretty much packed already (what else do I need besides board shorts, sunglasses and a bottle of listerine?). I've got my music together and I'm sitting down now just about to hash out my schedule for the 3 day fest.

BUT WAIT! WTF? Set times are not up yet? Have they not figured this jazz out yet? I need at least a week to make some of the tough decisions I know we're going to be faced with when our favourite acts are overlapping. But then again what are the chances the decisions we make now will be carried through? I'm going to go with nada.

After all, this trip is really about the spontaneity of it all. Check y'all soon
